The witch hunts that begin over the course of The Keepers, once the rulers of the Cardinal Lands decide to declare war upon witchkind, are leading these matriarchal lands into the Burning Times.

Daphne, of course, must see through what the queens have set in motion—with Cora’s husband leading the charge against witchery. The queen is unaware of spies in her midst: one a hidden witch and the other, Lore, the daughter of a witch and hidden within the very walls of the castle.

Aleris and the Coven of the Grounded of Sanverra determine that if the queens of the lands have formed an alliance, so too should the witches. She sets off to rally the Covens of the Grounded of the other lands to stand together in a bid to not only survive the Burning Times, but to do so with their magic and lives as they choose to live them.

And, above it all, the Wheel yet turns.

But Iris, Aster, and rest of the Coven of the Keepers can no longer deny a terrible truth: the Wheel is tipped.
